Behold the Divine Gloriousness

Breath in. Breath out. Stare into the monstrance. Behold Him, behold the Divine Gloriousness.

The sun streams into the Hannigan Chapel, and I realize that this 'Gloriousness' is not only seated before me in the humblest of thrones. No, the Divine Gloriousness can only be understood through such humility.

The maker of Heaven and Earth sat before me in the transubstantiated form of bread...The Body and Blood of my Lord encompassed in a single wafer! How GLORIOUS! How inspiring! As light streamed into the chapel, the picturesque scene seemed to underscore the Truth of the moment. Christ became man like a drop of sunshine falling upon the earth. The blooms of His Gloriousness sprout from all reaches of humanity and nature. He IS the only being. He IS a fiercesome and glorious sight to behold.

Conference Presentations and Such

Day 18

This past week has been pretty hectic, I was able to get in some good working hours at a Supplemental Instruction Conference. I even gave an hour and fifteen minute presentation (no worries there were activities involved). At the conference I had some of the most interesting conversations, and I'm reminded of my freshman year of college. I want to say a small "Thank you" to my amazing group of friends who expanded my horizons and helped me get to know what I believe better so that I can represent myself well. More importantly, I'm glad I learned from them how to treat people with different opinions with respect. So summer here is a little sadder since you guys are almost all scattered across the globe.

Also I babysat for a family this week, and I was reminded of how adorable little children can be, but also how not ready I am to have a family of my own.

Anyway, right now I'm supposed to be cleaning my room, but cleaning has never been my strong point or a priority for me :-/ I'm going to struggle on here for a while longer because my room is awful right now.

And SO it Begins

Day 3 of Summer in the College Ghost Town

Slept on the couch for about 3 hours and read a book, I can definitely get used to this.

On the more productive side, I did read 200 pages of the book, and I think I'll be presenting at a SI conference, very prestigious I know. Since school has been out I have worked on my med school app twice. I really need to re-vamp the essays I have right now. So maybe keeping up with the Jones's (a.k.a. Kyle and Sarah) with this blog will help improve my writing.

Day 2, Natalie and I went to our first ever crawfish boil, it was great! It was pretty interesting though. Congratulations to the Jessica graduating, who fed us by the way!

On Day 1, it rained which was great and I wore what some might call "nice pants" for most of the day.

Anyway, I'll keep this oh-so-riveting blog updated with stories about what it is to be a college girl not taking classes over the summer and hopefully working at an ice cream shop :)
